Why work with me?

My strength is seeing the potential in people and helping them raise their bar. I am passionate about possibilities and improvement and am committed to helping people become who they authentically need to be, so they can do what they love to do and live their best life.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou

I bring 20 years of strategic HR experience with large, global organizations to each consulting and/or coaching engagement. During my career, I developed and implemented a talent development program with a comprehensive coaching approach that helped both experienced and emerging leaders achieve significant personal and professional transformations. I have had the pleasure to act as a trusted advisor to leaders and CEOs, and the privilege of mentoring women in leadership through my work with the Human Resources Management Association and the YWCA.

As a certified practitioner in both the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Striving Styles Personality System (SSPS), my coaching approach always begins with enhancing self-awareness, followed by the development of emotional and social intelligence. I’m known for balancing pragmatism, openness, and integrity with warmth, compassion, and humour.

I am CPHR designated, have a Human Resources Management Certificate from BCIT, and a degree in Cultural Anthropology from SFU, where my primary focus was the socially constructed roles of women in various cultures. I have a curious and voracious interest in personal development and am passionate about building self-awareness in myself and others.

My own current personal development focus is on the study and psychology of mindset, habits, productivity, as well as on mindful meditation, all of which I view as integral tools in my consulting and coaching practice.
